My name is Andrew Illes, and I am the founder of ArcanFlame. For nearly 20 years, I’ve been designing modern, minimalist fireplaces. I’ve never been a fan of traditional fireplace tool sets, and I’ve noticed that many of my clients share the same sentiment. While there are several issues with conventional sets, the most fundamental problem is simple: in most cases, there’s simply no proper space for them in front of or beside the fireplace.

Many of my customers expressed desire for fireplaces with integrated wood storage compartments. This demand inspired me to develop a modern fireplace accessory set that integrates directly into the fireplace structure. However, the implementation proved significantly more complex than I had initially anticipated.

I needed to create a set where the tools wouldn’t hang on a rack but instead remain securely in place even when laid flat for built-in storage. After testing multiple concepts, the best solution turned out to be the Venon, a sleek, pillar-like minimalist design. Its compact and clean form makes the set highly versatile. When not in use, the set discreetly tucks away—either stored in its built-in drawer or laid flat in a cabinet.
